Our Founding Story
In 1947, Elizabeth “Betty” Harp and her husband opened Harp’s Lingerie in Detroit with $500 and a bold vision. Betty, known as “Mrs. H,” was a talented saleswoman who built a legacy of success through passion and expertise. Her energy and dedication to customers continue to inspire.

Mrs. H’s Mission
Betty’s goal was simple: to ensure every woman left Harp’s feeling beautiful, uplifted, and confident. Over 75 years later, that mission remains at the heart of everything we do.
A Legacy of Family Leadership
Harp’s is now proudly led by Patricia Hardy, Betty’s daughter-in-law, and her great-granddaughter, Jacqueline Hamill, with guidance from Lisa Hamill, who’s been with us since 1991. The family continues to honor Betty’s legacy, ensuring every woman leaves with a smile.
